Our story

Named after the turquoise sea

Turkuaz takes its name from the turquoise waters of the Turkish coast and the Mediterranean. We opened on the Upper West Side in 2005, moved to Midtown West in 2019, and just expanded to the Upper East Side. Two decades in, we still cook the way we always have: vegetables coaxed into something extraordinary, lamb on the charcoal grill, and a kitchen that does the work so dinner feels effortless.
